DAY 5

Today marked a unique occasion at the Suba-Masulog Health Center, as it coincided with International Women's Day. Despite the significance of the day, it was a half-day for us, allowing us to celebrate and honor the contributions of women in our community. With this shortened schedule, our workload was reduced, yet the spirit of dedication remained unchanged.

As the morning unfolded, we welcomed a steady stream of patients, albeit fewer in number compared to a typical day. Our tasks primarily revolved around medication dispensation. While the pace was slower than usual, every interaction with patients offered an opportunity to provide compassionate care and support. The same as day 4, we also encoded medical records into the Department of Health (DOH) website.

In addition to attending to the healthcare needs of our patients, we also took time to reflect on the importance of women's health and empowerment. International Women's Day served as a poignant reminder of the strides made towards gender equality in healthcare and beyond. It underscored the need for continued advocacy and support for women's rights, particularly in accessing quality healthcare services.

As the day drew to a close, we concluded our duties with a sense of fulfillment, knowing that we had made a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. Despite the abbreviated schedule, the impact of our work resonated deeply, reaffirming our commitment to serving our community with compassion and dedication, not just on International Women's Day, but every day.
