DAY 3
Wednesdays at the Suba-Masulog Health Center are all about keeping the children healthy through immunizations. It's a bustling day, and I'm usually busy helping out by measuring the weight and height of the little ones. Then, it's all about updating their paperwork with the latest immunization dates and check-ups.
But it's not just about the paperwork. It's about making sure these kids are getting the care they need to stay healthy and happy. Through this experience, I've really seen firsthand how important it is for kids to stay up-to-date on their shots and check-ups. Being part of this process has given me a deeper understanding of the role immunizations play in keeping our community safe from diseases. It's not just about individual health—it's about preventing the spread of illnesses and protecting everyone around us.
Additionally, it's shown me how crucial community health centers like ours are. They're the backbone of accessible healthcare, making sure everyone, regardless of background or income, can get the care they need. Overall, it's been eye-opening and rewarding to be part of something so important. Knowing that I'm helping to keep these kids healthy is a pretty great feeling.
